I live a life of contradiction
I’m not going to lie.

I hate that I procrastinate.
Simple, yes?
But then I decide to wait,
To put off until next semester
That crucial reform of self discipline.

Similarly: my love of big trucks, tractors, and diesel engines;
A perfectly fine obsession, yes,
But rather loud.
It’s kind of hard to steer and shift
When both hands are occupied, plugging your ears…
